Draft for review · October 1, 2026. This policy describes the current implementation of My Medication.

Information stored. The app stores medication details you enter, including names, strengths, quantities, reasons, instructions, notes, schedules, archived records, and retained schedule history. It also stores appearance and medication alert preferences, synchronization metadata, and copies of conflicting edits for review.

On-device storage. Medication records are saved in the app’s local Application Support storage so they remain available offline. The app preserves records separately when the iCloud account changes; signing out does not erase previously stored account records.

iCloud. When iCloud is configured and available, the app uses Apple CloudKit and your account’s private database to synchronize records across your devices. Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy. The app registers for remote change notifications to refresh synchronized data.

Medication alerts and permissions. The app requests system notification or alarm permission when you enable medication alerts. Medication alerts use generic wording and do not show or speak medication names. System settings determine delivery. Audio Alerts in Menu → Medication alerts is the single on/off control for all medications on this device. Saved times, permissions, pause dates, skipped dates, and end dates determine eligibility.

Other services. The current app contains no advertising or analytics SDK, publisher-operated account service, Apple Health integration, or external medication lookup. The publisher has no app-provided interface for receiving your medication records. This describes app behavior and does not cover Apple’s services, device backups, or copies you make outside the app.

Retention and deletion. Archived medication and history remain stored. Permanent deletion removes medication details from the app’s current storage and syncs the deletion when connected. Deletion metadata can remain to prevent an old device from restoring deleted records. Device backups and copies outside the app are managed separately.
